OUR STORY
How Scene Surfaces came to be.

SceneSurfaces went live May 1, 2023 after one year of research and product development. Scot Mcparland, owner and developer, is a Printing Professional with over 25 years in the Printing industry. Scot has always been interested in photography. After the 2020 COVID-19 closures in California, Scot paired his profession and love for photography into SceneSurfaces.com.

With help from his sister Staci...the brains behind the designs, Scot had an idea for a new backdrop board material that really feels like an actual surface...sturdy, rigid and will not crease or wrinkle like a foam or paper backdrop.

Also, Scot looked closely at the reproduction of his new idea and figured he can produce and make a more realistic surface board material that photographers long for.

Wood backdrops that look & feel more like wood.

Cement backdrops that looks and feels like it was taken in the street...from real life. After all the hard work...Scene Surfaces was created and went live

May 1, 2023.

After Ursula ( @Krause.Media on Instagram) posted a stunning reel on FAKING AN AESTHETIC KITCHEN FOR A PHOTO, the boom started for Scene Surfaces. Orders started flying off the shelf. 

We do thank Ursula for doing a wonderful job.
